Old Convent, Bruff, Co. Limerick
Ballyhoura Ceramics is based in Bruff, Co. Limerick and is run by the talented Eithne Hehir. Handmade with love, Eithne creates functional and aesthetic porcelain vessels. Her work is inspired by the flow of the nearby Morning Star River, using porcelain to resemble the transparency of the water.
Ballyhoura Ceramics use the traditional handcrafted method of throwing on the wheel, to create these unique pieces of porcelain. Each piece is designed to fit into each other, for both functional and aesthetic uses. These vessels possess the soothing colours of turquoise, yellow, grey and deep blue/green, that will enhance any contemporary home.
Ballyhoura Ceramics products have been stocked in places such as Adare Manor Hotel Boutique, Bunratty Folk Park Gift Shop and University of Limerick Visitors Centre. Eithne, whose creations have been on exhibit all around Ireland, offers pottery classes by request, for those who want to unleash their own creativity.
