It wouldn’t be Easter without the ubiquitous Easter Egg Hunt, and Ballyhoura has several of them. On Friday 15th April, Croom will be full of eggcited kids, ready to hunt down 4 coloured eggs in their pursuit of not only a chocolate egg, but the elusive Golden Egg!

Rockbarton Farmers’ Market plays host to a fun egg hunt for the kids on 10th April; in the same venue the day before, the kids can get hands-on and learn about flowers, seeds and planting at the Children’s Gardening Classes.

Slí Eile is opening for the 2022 Season on Easter Saturday 16th April from 10am to 2pm with an Easter egg hunt and 30 plus stalls from food to crafts and stunning organic vegetable for sale from their Award Winning Gardens. Learn how to grow vegetables in a container garden for beginners to how to supply your own needs all year round with polytunnels and raised beds. Live music and great atmosphere in the 'old world charm' of Burton Park in Churchtown.

There’s plenty of Easter Camps for the kids to enjoy too. The children will make and bring home at least 3 wonderful crafts, made with high-quality materials, while there will be a few short, fun yoga sessions to gently help bring about a calmer state of mind, and they’ll practice some easy breathing techniques and postures (great for flexibility and fun too!).

A 4-day multi-activity Easter Camp runs from 11th-14th April in Caherline National School for kids aged 4-8, with fun activities including puzzles, football, basketball, baking, yoga, arts ‘n’ crafts, dodgeball and much more.

We might find the next Shane Lowry or Leona Maguire in Ballyhoura at Doneraile Golf Club’s Easter Festival Day on 21st April, where kids under 13 can learn some golf skills and have lots of fun along the way!

Ballyhass Adventure Park in Mallow hosts a fun Easter Camp for kids aged 8-16 where they can explore 15 different activities over an exciting week including archery, kayaking and zip-lining.
