Patrick Mulcahy aka The Mindful Farmer is holding a unique mindfulness and meditation weekend RetrEATs at his Ballinwillin House & Farm.

Pat created a “Thinking Path” on the grounds of Ballinwillin House Farm and in 2018 he added a holistic garden with areas dedicated to mindfulness, meditation and forgiveness. He has a huge interest in health and well being and is an advocate for nourishing the mind and body.

Ballinwillin House and Accommodation is a luxurious accommodation full of character and charm. The 18th-century country house is situated on the edge of Mitchelstown and is set in 80 acres of rich pastureland.

You are welcome to roam free with the deer and enjoy a birds-eye view of the flora and fauna while enjoying true artisan food and a homely atmosphere.

"Visit and fall in love" is a motto of the very special place in Ballyhoura - The Donkey Sanctuary Ireland. It is an Open Farm nestled in the beautiful hillsides, outside Liscarroll village. Take a stroll along beautiful walkways, enjoy a picnic in the secure picnic area or buy a snack at the Visitor Information Centre.

The admission and parking are both free. The farm is a charity dependent on the support of the public, so visitors are able to see their work free of charge but donations are very welcome. It is open 7 days a week!

While you are in the area it's worth to visit Mitchelstown Caves, one of the largest and most complex cave systems in Ireland. It was discovered accidentally on the 3rd of May 1833, by Michael Condon who was quarrying limestone when he dropped his crowbar into a crevice. He stooped down to pull out a few boulders to retrieve the bar, next minute he found himself looking down into a vast series of underground chambers, passages and caverns.

The Ballyhoura Nature Trail, located at the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails is a 40 minute 5km investigation of over 20 hidden creatures in the woods that you can uncover on the walk.
