Working from her home studio in Churchtown, North Cork, Tracey creates one-off ceramic pieces including bowls, platters, and vessels. Inspired by the Ballyhoura Mountains, where she and generations before her grew up, Tracey’s aim is to create from an emotional connection to place.

The earthy tones and organic shapes in her work embody a sense of belonging to the land. “How I make my work and run my studio is very important to me — to be genuine and transparent in my practice. Everything I make is hand-built using traditional methods. Every part of my process is considered, always supporting local, reusing, and recycling where I can.”

Tracey collects flora locally — usually ferns, which are in abundance, along with whatever else is growing wild in the ditches at the time. She imprints these into her work, creating bespoke, one-of-a-kind pieces.
