Slievereagh Loop Walk

This route follows a grass path, forestry road, and minor roads as you loop around Slievereagh. It takes you through a peaceful mature forest and there is a beautiful meadow in the heart of the forest with old standing stone ruins. Parts of this trail may be overgrown in certain seasons so long pants are advised. There are some hill climbs to navigate so appropriate footwear is recommended. It's well worth the effort for the stunning views of the Galtee and Ballyhoura Mountains on a clear day.

Difficulty: Moderate - These trails may have some climbs and may have an uneven surface where the going is rough underfoot with some obstacles such as protruding roots, rocks etc. The routes are appropriate for people with a moderate level of fitness and some walking experience. Specific outdoor walking footwear and clothing are recommended.

Remember Leave No Trace, plan ahead and prepare. Be considerate of others. Respect Farm Animals and Wildlife. Travel and Camp on Durable Ground. Leave what you Find. Dispose of waste properly. Fires are not permitted.
