Ballyhoura Farm Escape is nestled in the heart of the Ballyhoura Mountains, where the River Molanna flows through our working beef farm. Fairy doors lead to a charming Fairy Village and picnic area, creating a magical setting for families to enjoy.

Set in a beautiful panoramic location with landscaped gardens, private parking and stunning mountain views, we offer a high standard private self-catering room within Anne & William’s family home. The room sleeps two adults and three children or four adults and includes an en suite bathroom, dining area, TV, WiFi, fridge, toaster, microwave, crockery, cutlery, tea and coffee. Supervised children can enjoy the on-site football goals, go-kart, slide, trampoline and Fairy Village.

We are just five minutes by car from Ballyhoura Forest, home to the Ballyhoura Walking Loops, Mountain Biking Trails and Horse Trekking routes. Guests can also dine locally at Spruce & Willow, Thatch & Thyme, Cafe Townhouse and Molly's Restaurant. Our accommodation is assessed by Fáilte Ireland and awarded the Tourist Accommodation Welcome Standard accreditation.

Our farm experience runs Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 13 March 2026 until Halloween. Each visit includes meeting and feeding our friendly animals (animal feed provided), enjoying the Fairy Forest and playground, and access to our tuck shop. Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic. Entry is €10 per person (adult or child), with free parking included.

We also host school tours (March–November, €10 per child, teachers and carers free, coach parking available), Saturday parties and special occasions (€10 per person, birthday child complimentary, 11am–1pm or 3pm–5pm), and 30-minute alpaca trekking experiences (€15 per person, ages 10+), where guests can meet our Peruvian alpacas and take a guided walk through Houndscourt Forest and estate.
