In the Ballyhoura region, there are excellent camps to choose from, Visitors are invited to explore and register for various camping experiences.
Camp experiences typically include opportunities for teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership development. They offer a setting where children can grow to be independent and self-confident.
Castleconnell Boat Club Summer Camps 2024
Events Dates: June 17th marks the start of weekly events throughout the summer.
From 11 AM - 2 PM at Castleconnell Boat Club Castleconnell Boat Club, Castleconnell, Co. Limerick.
CCBC run Easter, Summer and October mid-term rowing camps for young people ages 11 to 17. The camps are great fun and are a very good introduction to all facets of rowing – from safety to technique and of course, fun!
Rowers must be 11 years old by the start of the camp week to participate. Swimming competency is required. This means children must be able to swim 50m and will not panic if they enter the water unexpectedly.

Farm and Biodiversity - Summer Camp

Summer Camp -Lough Gur Lakeshore Park
Event Dates: Thursday July 18th to Friday July 19th - From July 31st - August 1st.
From10.am - 1pm at Lough Gur Lakeshore Park
Day 1: Activities include Outdoor Cook and Eat Pancakes by the Lake, Pond Dipping, Bird Watching, The “Impossible” Scavenger Hunt, Nature inspired games, Nature Crafts and much more.
Day 2: Kayaking, where our guides will bring them on a journey around the lake to learn about Lough Gur’s ancient sites, and our wildlife and biodiversity. There is an exciting mixture of kayak-based activities alongside shore-based activities.
