About Golden Vale Table
Golden Vale Table brings together the people, produce, places and communities of the Golden Vale.
Led by Visit Ballyhoura, with support from Cork County Council and Fáilte Ireland, the initiative connects food, farming, hospitality and community to strengthen regional pride and raise the Golden Vale’s national and international profile.
The Golden Vale is not defined by a single county boundary. It is a sweep of fertile countryside connecting North Cork, East Limerick, South Tipperary and West Waterford - a landscape of working farms, rich pasture, rivers, mountain edges and historic market towns. At its heart is Ballyhoura, a southern gateway to Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands.
Food offers a way into this landscape and its stories: what we grow, how we farm, the things we make and the welcome we share. Golden Vale Table connects these experiences, creating opportunities for local people and visitors to discover the region, learn from one another and work together.
The name reflects a table’s role as a place where farmers meet chefs, ingredients become meals and neighbours welcome visitors. It also makes room for growing, learning and conversations about the future of rural life.
