We invite you to enjoy the classic charms of a bygone era at Creagh House (built 1837), Doneraile, conveniently located in the heart of southern Ireland. Doneraile is a small rural town only 10 minutes drive from Mallow (the crossroads of Munster), 40 minutes from Cork and Limerick and one hour from Killarney and Cashel. Guests have stayed up to a week using the house as the ideal tour base.

While this gracious Georgian mansion is ideally located to visit the attractions of southern Ireland, there are amenities nearby also. The house sits next to the River Awbeg, a stones throw away from the first tee of the golf course (best nine-hole in Ireland!), and adjacent to the finishing line of the first Steeplechase (1752) and Doneraile demesne (400 acres) which is open to the public.

Guests enjoy the exclusive use of the stately drawing room for tea or drinks, and the equally sized dining room for supper or breakfast. A small number of guests at any time almost ensures private use of this expansive townhouse. The bedrooms are restored to their original size, with cornices and fireplaces intact. These spacious rooms are furnished with antique beds and furniture. Adjoining dressing rooms have been converted into comfortable large bathrooms with separate baths and showers. Original timberwork, cornices and wooden floors have been retained.

Creagh House is a member of The Hidden Ireland and is listed in Karen Browns Ireland, The Good Hotel Guide, and Georgina Campbells Ireland.
