The Ballyhoura region is a hub of activity for plays and musicals this spring. The area offers some very exciting shows that are certain to entertain. Many local drama groups and musical societies have been very busy rehearsing and are now ready to take to the stage. The Field is a play written by John B. Keane, first performed in 1965. It tells the story of the hardened Irish farmer "Bull" McCabe and his love for the land he rents. Audiences will have an amazing treat in store as the West End Drama group brings this epic tale to stage.

The Angry Jurors -Written by Reginald Rose

The Angry Jurors play is set in an American Courtroom and revolves around twelve men who, with their diverse backgrounds and biases, decide the fate of a teenager accused of murdering his abusive father. This plot will be highly entertaining and will engage the audience in many ways. The play delves into issues such as prejudice, individual arrogance, racism, and classism, shedding light on the complexities.
