Kildorrery International Food Fair Sunday May 14th
Now in its tenth year the ever popular Kildorrery International Food Fair takes place on this Sunday 14th May from 2pm to 4pm in the Community Car Park Kildorrery (old Creamery Yard).
This annual Food Fair is unique in Ireland as it is run by local residents from various nationalities who prepare authentic dishes representative of their national cuisine. It is a great chance to taste food one might never otherwise come across. It differs from other food fairs in that there is no commercial involvement – this is a key element as it guarantees that all of the food is homemade and 100% authentic.
Participating countries at this year’s Kildorrery International Food Fair include Ecuador, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, Portugal and Venezuela. For the first time Thailand will be represented at the Food Fair. There will also be a dedicated section for vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options.
To make the Food Fair experience as accessible as possible to everyone in the community, admission is charged at €6 per adult with family tickets priced at €15. After admission all patrons can sample as much as they want from all of the national tables at no extra charge. Music at the event will be provided by Frontiers.
